The registration for TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test), the entrance exam for Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has opened today, December 14, 2022 and will remain open till January 15, 2023. It is conducted by TISS Mumbai. It is a National-level Postgraduate entrance exam for admission into its campus and affiliated institutes.

TISSNET 2023 will be held between January 28, 2023 and February 28, 2023 across several centers located in different parts of the country. The duration of the test is 1 hour 40 minutes, from 2 pm to 3:40 pm. This is a qualification exam for 57 Masters Programmes (51 two year, 5 one year, 3 years B.Ed. M.Ed and 3 PG Diploma Programmes). This is a common exam valid for applicants applying for a single or multiple (upto 3 programmes).

Candidates who clear TISSNET will be called for the second stage TISS Online Assessment (OA). The shortlisting will be based on the TISSNET marks and the ratio of the number of seats announced for each program. No separate intimation regarding OA shortlist will be sent to the candidate. Applicants must check their login page periodically to get the status of shortlisting and further process for admissions if any. The OA will be scheduled in the month of April 2023.

The flagship program is MA in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations. Although this is not an MBA degree, the value is equivalent to that of an MBA. Postgraduates from TISS HRM & LR have a great demand in the global industry today. They get placed among a wide spectrum of sectors and industries including, banking and finance, telecom, IT/ITeS, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, retail and management consultancy, and public sector. Around 23 LPA is the average salary offered (Based on other resources, since it is not mentioned in the official website).

Registration Process
• Candidates can apply through the official website TISSNET.
• Applicants can choose a maximum of 3 programmes across any two TISS campuses (out of 4 campuses in Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad).
• The application fee for each programme for General candidates is 1000 + GST, which can be reduced to 250 or 500 (+ GST) based on category and familial income.
• Candidates have to upload documents including Photograph, Signature, Tribe/ Caste certificate, Income certificate, TISS copy of challan (if paid by cash), and category certificates as mentioned in TISSNET.
• Candidates can apply for multiple programmes and pay for each programme in one online form. Filling more than one online form will lead to rejection of candidature.
• Payments can be made through challan or credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
