
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking for 2022 is out. the top Management institutions are IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIT Delhi, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow and IIM Indore.
NIRF was introduced by the Human Resource Development Ministry in 2015 to rank institutions all around the nation. The framework is based on the general suggestions and broad understanding reached by a Core Committee established by the MHRD, and it identifies the basic criteria for rating different universities and institutions. The parameters used for ranking universities are Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Research Productivity, Impact and IPR (RPII), Graduation Outcome (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Perception (PR) with the weightage of 0.3, 0.4, 0.05, 0.15 and 0.10 respectively.
Among the Private Management Institutions Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur was ranked 8th with a score of 69.67 followed by Management Development Institute, Gurugram (13) Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (17) and S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (21).
The top 10 B-schools are:
IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIT Delhi - DMS, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, Xavier Labour Relations Institute, National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai and IIT Madras - DoMS.
In the overall India Rankings 2022, Indian Institute of Madras was ranked 1st with the highest score of 87.59 followed by Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and IIT Bombay. National Law School of India University was ranked 1st in the Law category with a score of 78. Miranda House Delhi topped the Arts and Science category.
