
IIM Nagpur has launched a two-year program for working professionals – MBA for Working Professionals (MBA-WP). The program will start in September or October 2021. This program is intended to help mid-level and senior-level executives to learn management principles and move to senior leadership roles.
This is a face-to-face program with 750 hours of course work spread over two years, organised into eight terms of three-months each. Classes are scheduled three days a week, on weekday evenings or weekends). Working professionals with minimum 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in graduation or professional qualifications such as CA/ICWA/CS (with at least 50 percent aggregate marks) and minimum 3 years of work experience will be eligible to apply for this program. This is being launched in IIM Nagpur currently, and is also expected to be launched in IIM Nagpur – Pune campus by the end of this year. Classes might begin online, depending on the pandemic situation.
IIM Nagpur officials state that they have designed this two-year program to accelerate career goals, and develop competent, ethical and professional managers, capable of working in any sector of organised activity, provide leadership and achieve excellence while they contribute to the welfare of their organisation as well as the society at large. The program is developed to develop Concrete Analytical Skills, Soft Skills & Leadership and Innovativeness & Stakeholder Perspective.
You have to clear IIM Nagpur Aptitude Test (IIMNAT), a 90 minute offline test which will be held in IIM Nagpur in the last week of August or the first week of September. The syllabus is similar to CAT with MCQs. Shortlisted candidates will have to clear a Personal Interview to be selected for the program.
