IIM Nagpur will establish a satellite campus in Pune by the end of 2021.           

IIM Nagpur was started 6 years ago, and currently provides the PGP programme, MBA for working professionals and Executive education programmes.

IIM Nagpur has now signed an MoU with CIRT Pune, an institute which works on improving the efficiency and productivity of the transport sector. With this, IIM Nagpur is setting up its satellite campus at the 100+ acre CIRT campus in Pune.

Initially, IIM Nagpur is expected to start with the Executive MBA programmes for working professionals.CP Gurnani (MD & CEO of Tech Mahindra and chairman of the IIM-Nagpur board of governors) said they have decided to set up a campus in Pune as industry participation was expected to be higher here.

IIM Nagpur can tap into the large number of working professionals in Pune, a city dense with tech, auto and manufacturing companies. These courses will help the employees to upskill themselves and learn management concepts. IIM Nagpur also intends to initiate courses on data sciences and other emerging areas.

The initiative was kicked off on 7^th September, with a live interaction in Pune attended by business leaders and industry experts. The first batch in Pune starts with 60 working professionals.
