Change in XAT 2023 exam pattern Jan 06, 2023
XAT has announced a change in the exam pattern for XAT 2023.

The exam time has been extended from 3 hours and 10 minutes to 3 hours and 30 minutes. The exam will be divided into three parts. From the earlier format of 165 minutes for 75 questions in Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, it has now been changed to 175 minutes for the same number of questions. Similarly, the time for GK and the essay section has been increased from 25 minutes to 30 minutes.

Part 1 (175 minutes)
a. Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (26 questions)
b. Decision Making (22 questions)
c. Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (28 questions)

Part 2 (5 minutes)
a. Mock Keyboard Testing C.

Part 3 (30 minutes)
a. General Knowledge (25 questions)
b. Essay (3 questions, a candidate must answer 1 out of 3 essays)

Out of the three options given in the essay section, a candidate will have to choose one and the maximum number of words have been increased to 300.
