Hi Evangeline, in most developed countries, the cost of accommodation and the cost of tuition fees for the master’s degree are way higher than India Bschools. The top B-schools in India charge lower fees compared to the universities overseas (you can check the fees for Indian B Schools at https://mockat.com/infozone/college/top-business-schools/). Getting a loan is also easier for Indian Bschools (you can easily get a bank loan with no collateral for the top 50 B Schools). Some countries with lower fees are Germany and Italy. You can also try for scholarships.
Most overseas B schools require 4-5 years of work experience before an MBA. But in India, very few B schools mandatorily require work exp (eg ISB).
Taking the GMAT also costs more than Indian MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, NMAT, IIFT, SNAP, TISSNET, CMAT (check the exam details at https://mockat.com/infozone/exam/cat/).
Typically, you also have to clear the required language proficiency tests for that particular country.
However, an MBA from a prestigious university such as Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, London Business School, Ecole or the like, do take it up as the top 25 Bschools globally are ranked well ahead of IIMs.
Thank you.
