CMAT is one of India's primary MBA exams that can help you get into institutes such as JBIMS, GIM, KJ Somaiya, and many more.
Having said that, there are other exams such as CAT, XAT, NMAT, IIFT and SNAP (to name a few) that give you better options for colleges. Also, IIMs specifically accept only CAT, so if you are planning to get into an IIM, CMAT wouldn't help you. A lot of people take CAT a second time and get into top B-schools with a good score.
