Hey Manju, usually in CAT you get around 8-10 arithmetic questions. If you are able to answer these questions with 90-100% accuracy you are definitely clearing the quant cut off. But just to be on the safer side, do not bank only one quant topic. The more topics you prepare, the better the chances of getting a high score, as some questions will be tough and it may be difficult to crack all the Arithmetic questions.
Try to cover Algebra and Geometry so that you have a safe cushion. Just attempting Arithmetic and Algebra question with 90-100% accuracy can take you to the 95-99%ile (24-30 marks in CAT 2021). This is based on past CAT papers, as CAT does not come out with a detailed syllabus.

I have taken Cat before. Got close to 89 percentile in dilr and 92 percentile in verbal. But in quant I only got 56 percentile. Im from genera category. I want to atleast clear the cut off this year. Im omitting geometry and modern maths completely. Can i just score the cut off marks from arithmetic alone?
