Yes Layla after calculating the number of triangles using that formula you need to eliminate triangles with 2 sides having same length. So, you can remove (8,8,1);(7,7,3);(6,6,5) and (5,5,7) triangles. So, the answer is 8-4 = 4.

Yes Afridhi, I also chose the wrong case and wasted a lot of time the main reason being the time pressure. But what sir told to us is to solve without thinking much about the timer. Also i think we can choose the right cases with more practice and using the suggestions from mock discussions where sir would be saying this is the must solve case or the case to be solved first. What you guys think?
Hi, guys I was unable to solve even a single case in the DILR section, this is because of wrong choice of sets. Can someone share any methods for choosing the easier case.
Hi! I took Mock 13 and I also felt that the paper was quite tough. But I picked the right questions and solved them at first. I struggled to solve the cases in the DILR section but I managed to solve 2 cases in the end. In quants as well I took extra time to select the questions during the test. Since the paper was tough it was also hard for me to choose the right questions. I got stuck in certain questions but I took the time and solved them. I realized that even if the paper is tough, we can still pick the right questions that are easily doable and solve them within a few minutes if we do it in the right way.
Hi Abdul, we can expect the cases with CBD questions then and there in CAT. However we can not say how many cases or questions will contain them. Practice more of those questions to get comfortable with them. Please do watch solution videos of the cases to know the approach. All the best
Hey Karni, yes the questions and options were tricky in Mockat-13's verbal. CAT do this frequently. We need to be a little more careful while choosing an option to avoid extrapolating an option or to avoid similar kind of errors. Before going for questions try and summarise the RC to yourself and the author's point of view. You can easily eliminate 1 or 2 options through this. Before choosing an option take a step back and logically reason that this must be the answer. Practice these till you get comfortable them.
I have also felt it to be a little difficult. I felt verbal RC's to be slightly easier to understand but the questions and options were tricky. For example i ve gone for option 2 in 8th question, by extrapolating the info given in the last para of the passage. Can someone tell me how do i fix these type of errors?
Hey guys, I found mock-13 quant to be slightly tougher than CAT-2019 paper. What's your thoughts on this? btw, a good number of questions were really doable provided the right approach has been adopted. What you guys feel?

Hi! I have a doubt in Quant section question no. 9 in mock 13.
I know the basic formula for numbers of triangle with given perimeter (p+3)^2/48

Does Cannot be determined questions occur very often in CAT? I see 3 out of 4 cases in mock 13 to be having these questions.
