Hi Michael Rosario, while this is a personal decision, I would definitely recommend that you can try CAT again (CAT 2022). Many MBA aspirants take CAT 2 or more times. Since you have already got IIM calls, this means that you have already scored a good CAT score. You can focus on CAT preparation for one more year and improve your CAT percentile. This way, you will be able to get through an even better IIM.
If you are working, you can continue working and CAT preparation. If you are just graduating, you can work and prepare. Alternatively, you can also prepare full time or pursue an internship with your CAT preparation.
I would also recommend that you sign up for other MBA entrance exams such as XAT, NMAT, SNAP, IIFT, etc. You can get calls for top ranked MBA colleges with these MBA entrance tests also (e.g. you can get through XLRI which has a higher ranking and salary than the IIMs other than top 6 IIMs). Hi Michael Rosario, the top 6 IIMs are IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Indore. These are the oldest and highest ranking IIMs. Of these, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta are widely considered to be the best of the best. These are the oldest IIMs (IIMC and IIMA were founded in 1961, IIMB was founded in 1973). IIM Lucknow was founded in 1984, and IIMK and IIMI were founded in 1996.
These 3 IIMs are also considered among the most prestigious MBA colleges in India.
Aside from these, there are 14 IIMs, founded from 2007-2016. 7 IIMs were founded in 2007-11 (IIM Shillong, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Udaipur, IIM Trichy, IIM Kashipur). There was an initiative to set up new IITs and IIMs at this time to provide quality education to Engineering and MBA aspirants. These IIMs were mentored by the earlier IIMs.
7 more IIMs were set up in 2015-16. In alphabetical order, these are IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Nagpur, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur and IIM Vishakhapatnam. These IIMs are considered to be ranked lower based on duration, infrastructure, average salary, etc.

All the best!
Thank you. I do not have calls from top 6 IIMs. Should I take the CAT exam once again? I have not taken any other MBA entrance exam.

What is the ranking of IIMs? I have given interviews for many IIMs including CAP and am not sure which one to accept?
